McLaren hospital adds three executives

McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City, Mich., has appointed three executives to its senior leadership team, the hospital said May 2.

The most recent addition is Sean Fischer who was named chief financial officer May 1. Mr. Fischer has more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience, most recently serving as CFO of two hospitals in Indiana. 

McLaren Bay Region also recently tapped Kenneth Parsons, MD, as chief medical officer. Dr. Parsons first joined McLaren in the early 2000s and held various clinical leadership positions, including chief of emergency medicine at McLaren Bay Region. He is returning to the system after a stint at Knoxville, Renn.-based TeamHealth, where he served as a regional medical director of numerous emergency departments in the Midwest and Northeast. 

The hospital also appointed Stacey Klump, MSN, RN, as chief nursing officer, according to a May 2 news release. Ms. Klump entered the healthcare workforce as a staff nurse in 1997 and went on to hold various leadership positions with Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, Mich.
