McDonough District Hospital appoints Brian Dietz permanent CEO: 5 takeaways

McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Ill., dropped "interim" from CEO Brian E. Dietz's title, effective immediately.

Five takeaways:

1. Mr. Dietz became interim CEO of the hospital in June 2018.

2. Since then, he has worked to improve hospital performance and explored several clinical partnerships in the area.

3. He previously worked with executive search firm B.E. Smith as an interim CEO for healthcare facilities.

4. Mr. Dietz has also served as an adjunct faculty member at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

5. Mr. Dietz replaced Kenny Boyd, who resigned from the role.
