Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic has appointed Arun Kumar Bhaskara-Baba as its new chief information officer, a spokesperson for the health system confirmed to Becker’s.
He joined Mayo in May and succeeds Cris Ross, who departed from the CIO role in December 2024. Mr. Bhaskara-Baba brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience spanning healthcare, aerospace and defense, automotive, and other industries.
He joined Mayo Clinic from Honeywell Aerospace & Defense, where he served as CIO. Before Honeywell, Mr. Bhaskara-Baba held several leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson. He served in CIO roles overseeing global manufacturing across the company’s pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer businesses, as well as CIO of its pharmaceutical supply chain.
