Massachusetts Hospital Appoints First Female CEO in Over 30 Years

New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton, Mass., has named Judith C. Waterston as its new president and CEO, the first woman in the role since the hospital moved to Stoughton in 1976, according to a report in The Enterprise.

Ms. Waterston previously served as president of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Network in Boston and the president and CEO of Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center of Chicago.

Ms. Waterston began her career in healthcare as a patient aide before earning her master’s degree in nursing and then moving into hospital administration, according to the report.
