Martin General Hospital CEO Joanie White-Wagoner resigns

Joanie White-Wagoner, CEO of Martin General Hospital in Williamston, N.C., has resigned, a spokesperson confirmed to Becker's Hospital Review.

Ms. White-Wagoner assumed the role in April 2018, prior to which she was CEO and administrator of Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway, Ark. The reason for departure from Martin General was unclear.

"We appreciate Joanie's contributions to the hospital in support of rural health in the region," said Tommy Roberson, board chair of Martin General Hospital.

John Jacobson, CFO of the hospital, will take over as interim CEO.
