MarinHealth names new chief medical officer

Anita Chandrasena, MD, started as chief medical officer of Greenbrae, Calif.-based MarinHealth on Jan. 2.

Prior to her role with MarinHealth, Dr. Chandrasena served as chief physician executive for San Francisco-based Dignity Health’s Northern California division. 

Dr. Chandrasena’s other past roles at Dignity include physician executive for the Bay Area and chief medical officer at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Calif.

Dr. Chandrasena graduated from New Haven, Conn.-based Yale University School of Medicine. She completed an international medicine residency at Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital and a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. 

An integrated health system, MarinHealth features a medical center, a 327-bed hospital, more than 55 primary and specialty care clinics, and a foundation.
