Loyola University Medical Center selects new president

Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill., appointed Tad A. Gomez president, effective Feb. 25.

Mr. Gomez most recently served as vice president for professional and support services at Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, Ga. He was previously vice president for professional services at Augusta (Ga.) University Medical Center. He has also held pharmacy management roles at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Fla., and Harris Health in Houston.

A fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Mr. Gomez earned his master of science in hospital pharmacy degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus.

Mr. Gomez is the permanent successor to Larry Goldberg, who stepped down last year.
