Louisiana health system names CNO

Covington, La.-based St. Tammany Health System has named Lori Sumner, MSN, RN, CNO, effective in September. 

Ms. Sumner most recently served as CNO of Baptist Health Princeton Hospital in Birmingham, Ala., where she oversaw Patient Care Services for the 505-bed teaching hospital, according to an Aug. 3 news release.

She previously served as CNO at Baptist Health Walker Hospital in Jasper, Ala., and associate CNO at HCA Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Fla. She also served as administrative director of Critical Care at HCA Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Fla., and held nursing leadership positions during more than two decades with Lee Health in Fort Myers, Fla.
