Richard Hart, MD, DrPH, has shared plans to retire as president of Loma Linda (Calif.) University Health.
Dr. Hard was named president of LLUH in 2008, according to a Jan. 26 news release.
Dr. Hart will remain in his role until June to ensure a smooth transition while the LLUH Board of Trustees convenes a presidential search committee to identify the system’s next leader.
“We are profoundly grateful for Dr. Hart’s years of faithful commitment and service,” Thomas Lemon, chair of the Loma Linda University Health Board of Trustees, said in the release. “Through seasons of growth and challenge, he has led with humility and helped establish Loma Linda University Health as a premier academic health science center both nationally and globally. “
