Lifespan names new CFO

Providence, R.I.-based Lifespan has named Peter Markell vice president and CFO, effective Jan. 30.

Mr. Markell previously served as executive vice president of administration and finance, CFO and treasurer at Boston-based Mass General Brigham from 1999 until he retired in 2021, according to a Jan. 4 Lifepoint news release. 

He will work closely with newly appointed president and CEO John Fernandez to create and execute Lifespan’s strategic plan, according to the release.
