LifePoint names new CFO

Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health has promoted Michael S. Coggin to CFO.

Mr. Coggin has served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer of LifePoint since 2008. He will begin his role as CFO Sept. 30.

“We are pleased to name Mike to the role of chief financial officer,” said William F. Carpenter III, chairman and CEO of LifePoint. “His years of experience and service as a key member of our leadership team make him the right choice to lead our financial functions.”

Mr. Coggin will succeed Leif Murphy, who was named president and CEO of TeamHealth Holdings, a physician services organization.
