Lifepoint Health exec heads to Vanderbilt

Terrence Adams is joining Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt Health as chief operating officer of one of its community hospitals. He previously served as resource chief executive officer at Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health.

Mr. Adams will start his new role as COO of Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital in Shelbyville, Tenn., Sept. 3., according to an Aug. 26 news release. He will oversee efforts to enhance quality, contain costs and grow revenue at the 60-bed facility. 

Vanderbilt University Medical Center acquired the hospital from Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems in 2021.
