Lehigh Valley Health Network taps Dr. Joseph Patruno as chief wellness officer

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network has appointed Joseph Patruno, MD, chief wellness officer.

Dr. Patruno is an OB-GYN physician. He was president of the medical staff at Lehigh Valley Health Network from 2016 to 2018.

In his new role, Dr. Patruno will oversee strategies to combat physician burnout and promote well-being and personal efficiency.

“Burnout is endemic in the clinical setting,” Dr. Patruno said. “My role proves that LVHN is committed to improving the well-being of its caregivers, ultimately improving patient care and satisfaction.”
