Lehigh Valley Health Network appoints 1st-ever VP of market development: 4 points

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network named Terrence Purcell vice president of market development, a newly created role, according to The Morning Call.

Here are four points:

1. Mr. Purcell previously served as president of St. Luke’s Palmerton Campus (Pa.) and St. Luke’s Gnaden Huetten Campus in Lehighton, Pa.

2. His prior experience includes serving as vice president of operations at Blue Mountain Health System, the former name of St. Luke’s Palmerton and Gnaden Huetten campuses, before the organization merged with Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke’s University Health Network.

3. In his new role, Mr. Purcell will oversee LVHN growth and development in Carbon, Schuylkill and Luzerne counties.

4. Mr. Purcell’s start date at LVHN is yet to be determined.
