Lake Huron Medical Center CEO Jay de los Reys to resign this month

Jay de los Reys, CEO of Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, Mich., is resigning, a spokesperson from Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare, the hospital's parent, confirmed via email to Becker's Hospital Review.

Mr. de los Reys is leaving to become COO at McLaren Greater Lansing (Mich.) hospital.

He became CEO of Lake Huron Medical Center in 2017, prior to which he was interim CEO of the Memorial Hospital of Salem (N.J.) County.

Under his leadership, Lake Huron Medical Center received a four-star CMS rating and earned a three-year, level 3 trauma center designation from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Patricia Roberts, chief nursing officer of Lake Huron Medical Center, will serve as interim administrator of the hospital.

Mr. de los Reys' last day will be Sept. 17 according to radio station WPHM.
