Mr. Bauer is currently assistant vice president of post-acute services at Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System. He has also served as administrative leader for Memorial Hermann’s supportive medicine program, which offers symptom control and psychosocial support to patients with advanced chronic disease.
Previously, Mr. Bauer was a healthcare administrator at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. He replaces Amy Schroyer, who retired at the end of 2017.
The Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care offers long-term acute care services in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
