Kevin Sowers, RN, MSN. President of Duke University Hospital (Durham, N.C.). Mr. Sowers started his career at Duke University Hospital as an oncology nurse in 1986 and served in various administrative roles, including associate vice president for hospitals and clinical facilities, before being named COO in 2003 and president in 2009. During his career he has served in a number of leadership roles within the Oncology Nursing Society at the national level and is internationally recognized for his writing and lectures on issues relating to leadership, organizational change, mentorship and cancer care.
