Kevin Holland to serve as CEO of Christus Southwestern Louisiana: 5 notes

Irving, Texas-based Christus Health appointed Kevin Holland CEO of Christus Southwestern Louisiana, overseeing Christus St. Patrick Hospital and Christus Lake Area Hospital, both in Lake Charles, La., according to a KPLC 7 report.

Here are five notes:

1. Mr. Holland most recently served as CEO of Pascagoula, Miss.-based Singing River Health System.

2. He is equipped with 23 years of healthcare experience.

3. The decision to name one CEO for the Southwestern Louisiana region came about as a result of Christus Health’s and New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System’s June 2017 letter of intent to pursue a joint venture of Christus operations in the Lake Charles area.

4. Robbin Odom, interim CEO of Christus Lake Area Hospital, will become chief nursing officer of Christus Southwestern Louisiana.

5. Donald Lloyd, president and CEO of Christus St. Patrick, will depart from the organization Sept. 28.
