Kettering Health Network president to retire: 5 notes

Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network President Roy Chew, PhD, is retiring Feb. 15.

Five notes:

1. Dr. Chew joined Dayton-based Kettering Medical Center in 1976 and assumed his current systemwide role in 2015.

2. He has previously served as president of Grandview Medical Center in Dayton and Southview Medical Center in Centerville, Ohio, after the hospitals merged with Kettering Medical Center in 1999.

3. He was later appointed president of Kettering Medical Center.

4. During his time at Kettering, Dr. Chew helped establish Montgomery County’s first federally qualified health center.

5. He also spearheaded plans for the Kettering Cancer Center.
