Kaiser taps market president

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente appointed Emily Holliman president of Kaiser Permanente in the Mid-Atlantic States, effective immediately.

Ms. Holliman had served as the region’s interim president since June 2025, according to a June 2 health system news release. She oversees care and coverage for 750,551 members across 35 medical centers in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Ms. Holliman brings more than two decades of experience and joined Kaiser Permanente in the Mid-Atlantic States in 2023 as COO. She worked with the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group and other leaders across the organization to strengthen performance and support growth in the market.

Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Ms. Holliman served as market vice president for Brentwood, Tenn.-based Ardent Health’s New Jersey market, CEO of Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, N.J., and president of Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Mass.

Kaiser Permanente serves 12.9 million members in nine states and Washington, D.C.
