Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has selected Linda Tolbert, MD, as executive medical director for the Washington Permanente Medical Group in Seattle.

Dr. Tolbert stepped into her position May 15 and succeeded Paul Minardi, MD, who is now executive vice president and CEO of the KP Medical Foundation. She is the first Black woman to serve as an executive medical director at Kaiser Permanente, according to a May 18 news release.
