Kaiser Permanente taps finance leader from Sutter Health

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has appointed Luke Rockenbach as CFO of its Northwest region, which includes two hospitals — Sunnyside Medical Center in Clackamas, Ore., and Westside Medical Center in Hillsboro, Ore. — and more than 30 medical offices.

Mr. Rockenbach most recently served as divisional CFO for Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health’s Greater Silicon Valley market. In that role, he led financial strategy and operations for a region generating about $5 billion in annual revenue. 

Earlier in his career, he held several leadership roles at Renton, Wash.-based Providence, including regional CFO and group vice president and chief transformation officer for revenue cycle, according to his LinkedIn profile

He also served as vice president of financial planning and analysis at Premera Blue Cross and previously spent more than nine years with Providence in finance leadership roles, including CFO of shared services.
