Kaiser Permanente names new president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has dubbed Roland Lyon president of Denver-based Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado.

Mr. Lyon began his tenure at Kaiser Permanente in 2002, serving in a variety of vice presidential roles in Northern California. He later moved on to be vice president of strategic planning at Kaiser Permanente's national program offices.

In 2006, Mr. Lyon started his tenure at Kaiser's offices in Colorado. He has since served in numerous roles, the most recent of which is vice president of strategy, market expansion and network operations.

"I'm incredibly honored and truly humbled to be asked to serve in this capacity," said Mr. Lyon. "Kaiser Permanente has a proud history of more than 70 years, including 47 years of serving the people of Colorado. I'm looking forward to building upon this legacy as we work to bring our nonprofit mission to new members and additional communities in this great state."
