Memphis hospital CEO to retire: 4 things to know

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis (Tenn.) President and CEO David Archer will retire in May, according to The Daily News.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Archer.

1. He has had a 30-year career with Saint Francis' owner, Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.

2. He has led Saint Francis' Memphis market since February 2006.

3. During his time at the hospital, Saint Francis has grown to include Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett in Memphis, an ambulatory surgery center, heart and vascular center and the physician practice entity, Saint Francis Medical Partners, according to The Daily News.

4. A nationwide search for Mr. Archer's successor is underway.
