Washington Permanente Medical Group, part of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, named Taejoon Ahn, MD, as its CEO and executive medical director.
Dr. Ahn stepped into the role Sept. 30. He most recently served as president of John Muir Medical Group for 12 years. Dr. Ahn spent nearly 20 years with Walnut Creek, Calif.-based John Muir Health, according to his LinkedIn profile.
At Washington Permanente Medical Group, Dr. Ahn will lead more than 1,200 clinicians providing care for more than 550,000 patients. The independent, physician-owned medical group works exclusively with Kaiser Permanente to provide care for Kaiser Permanente members in Washington state, the organization said.
