Kaiser Permanente appoints new chief communications officer: 5 things to know

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente tapped Kathryn Beiser to serve as senior vice president and chief communications officer, effective Jan. 8, 2018.

Here are five things to know:

1. Ms. Beiser currently serves as senior advisor with APCO Worldwide.

2. Previously, she was as global chair, corporate practice for Edelman Public Relations Worldwide.

3. She has also served as executive vice president, corporate communications for Hilton Worldwide

4. She is a trustee of the Arthur W. Page Society, the professional organization of chief communication officers.

5. In her new role, Ms. Beiser will oversee public relations, internal and external communications, media relations, crisis management and executive communications. She will also serve as communications advisor to Kaiser Permanente’s CEO, senior leadership and boards.
