Here are five notes:
1. Mr. Davis currently serves as CEO of Moses Taylor Hospital, a position he has held since 2012.
2. He is replacing Brooks Turkel, former CEO of Regional Hospital of Scranton, who left his position to take on a new role with Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems. CHS owns Commonwealth Health.
3. In his new role as CEO, Mr. Davis will lead a combined staff of about 2,500 employees and will streamline decision making for both hospitals.
4. Mr. Davis has also been named to lead Commonwealth Health Emergency Medical Services.
5. Commonwealth Health includes six hospitals in Pennsylvania.
