University of Pennsylvania Health System appoints Regina Cunningham chief nursing executive: 5 notes

Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania Health System named Regina Cunningham senior vice president and chief nursing executive.

Here are five notes:

1. Ms. Cunningham will continue in her previous role as Philadelphia-based Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania's chief nursing executive.

2. Ms. Cunningham has been with Penn Medicine since September 2011, when she was named associate CNO of cancer services at the Abramson Cancer Center.

3. Prior to her time at Penn, she served in leadership roles at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, such as senior director of oncology and senior director of nursing research.

4. In her new role, she will oversee nursing activities at each entity in the University of Pennsylvania Health System and she will collaborate with Senior Vice President and CMO Patrick J. Brennan.

5. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and New Jersey State Nurses Association.
