Five notes:
1. Ms. Sawyer currently serves as vice president of business development and chief marketing officer for Penn Medicine in Philadelphia.
2. She is also a lecturer at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
3. She is former vice president of portfolio marketing at IBM Watson Health, a health data management company.
4. As chief marketing and communications officer, she will be responsible for marketing and communications across the health system, including six hospitals, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins Medicine International and Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
5. Ms. Sawyer succeeds Dalal Haldeman, who retired in May 2018.
