Jeff English promoted to president of St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital: 3 things to know

Jeff English, interim president of Lavonia, Ga.-based St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital, has been named to the position permanently, according to an Athens Banner-Herald report.

Here are three things to know about Mr. English.

1. He has more than 22 years of healthcare experience.

2. He led the integration of Athens, Ga.-based St. Mary’s Health Care System into the newly acquired Sacred Heart Hospital, formerly Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.

3. Of his appointment, Mr. English said, “I’m honored to be entrusted with the leadership of Sacred Heart Hospital. The team we have here is extremely dedicated and committed to improving quality and raising satisfaction with patients, physicians and our colleagues. Over the past eight months, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the community and the people.”
