IU Health taps nurse leader for VP role

Indiana University Health has selected Melora Ferren, PhD, RN, as vice president of learning and development, the Indianapolis-based system said May 11.

Dr. Ferren most recently served as vice president and associate chief nurse executive at IU Health. She first joined the system 13 years ago as a critical care transport nurse with LifeLine, IU Health’s medical transport program. 

In her new role, Dr. Ferren will oversee the implementation of a new learning and development strategy across IU Health’s workforce, according to a May 11 news release.
