IU Health appoints chief quality & safety officer, exec director

Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health selected Michele Saysana, MD, to serve as executive director and chief quality and safety officer and Keith Kilgore as executive director of clinical performance improvement.

Dr. Saysana, a hospitalist with Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, will assume her new role Oct. 23. As chief quality and safety officer, she will focus on patient outcomes and the patient experience as well as getting rid of waste in care delivery.

Mr. Kilgore stepped into his new role Oct. 4. He was previously a transformation officer for system business services and system clinical services at IU Health. In his new role, he will oversee strategic planning and development of performance initiatives.
