IPC Healthcare appoints chief strategy officer: 4 things to know

IPC Healthcare, a national acute hospitalist and post-acute provider organization, has appointed Ron Greeno, MD, to the newly created position of chief strategy officer.

As chief strategy officer, Dr. Greeno will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic initiatives.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Greeno.

1. Dr. Greeno served as CMO of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Cogent Healthcare for the company’s first 17 years and was also the founder and senior consultant for The Cogent Group, Cogent’s consulting division.

2. Dr. Greeno is a founding member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, where he serves on the board and leads the organization’s advocacy and governmental relations efforts as its chairman of public policy.

3. Dr. Greeno received a Master in Hospital Medicine from the SHM and the SHM Award for Outstanding Service in Hospital Medicine.

4. Dr. Greeno has received board certification in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.
