Timothy Quinn, MD, president and CEO of Mercy Cedar Rapids (Iowa), plans to retire April 3.
Dr. Quinn has served more than two decades as a family physician and administrative leader at Mercy, according to a Feb. 3 hospital news release. He has maintained a clinical practice throughout his administrative tenure and will continue to see patients at MercyCare after stepping down from executive leadership.
During his tenure, Dr. Quinn helped guide organizational changes that included expanding access to care across the region, developing new facilities and services, and strengthening clinical quality, patient safety and operational performance, according to the release.
Executive Vice President and COO Greg DeWolf will serve as interim president and CEO during a national search for Mercy Cedar Rapids’ next leader. Mr. DeWolf has more than 30 years of healthcare experience, including nine years at Mercy, and previously held federal healthcare leadership roles during a more than 22-year career in the Air Force.
