Intermountain taps market president from CommonSpirit

Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has appointed Lee Boyles president of its Montana and Wyoming market and president of St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Mont., according to a Feb. 7 news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Boyles replaces Jen Alderfer, who left Intermountain in September to become president of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health’s Western Division. Bryan Johnson, president of Intermountain’s Western Colorado Market, had served as Ms. Alderfer’s interim replacement.

Most recently, Mr. Boyles worked for Chicago-based CommonSpirit as CEO of St. Anthony Summit Hospital in Breckenridge, Colo., according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously served as president of Catholic Health Initiatives’ St. Gabriel’s Health in Little Falls, Minn., CHI Oakes Hospital in Oakes, N.D., and vice president of strategic development at Glendive Medical Center in Glendive, Mont. 

He has a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Montana in Missoula and Des Moines (Iowa) University, respectively. He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. Boyles will assume his new role on March 11.
