Intermountain names president for 5 states

Jim Sheets has been appointed president of Intermountain Health healthcare operations in Colorado, Montana, Kansas, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

Since June, Mr. Sheets has served as the group president at Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health for 10 hospitals in Colorado and Utah, according to a new release shared with Becker’s. He also previously served at Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health as COO for acute care and provided oversight and strategic leadership to 21 hospitals, among other care sites. 

Mr. Sheets will begin his new role at Intermountain Health Jan. 15.

Intermountain Health is a 33-hospital system with locations in seven states and additional operations in the western U.S.
