Dr. Moynihan begins the permanent role after serving as acting chief of clinical enterprise since March, according to an Oct. 4 news release. He has also served as president of Inova Surgical Services since 2020.
Previously, Dr. Moynihan worked as a community physician integrated with Inova for more than two decades, joined the medical group in 2011 and served as chair of the department of surgery at Inova’s flagship location, Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, the release said.
Inova has 24,000 employees across Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
