Terre Haute, Ind.-based Union Health has named Joseph Scuorzo, DO, as chief medical information officer.
Dr. Scuorzo is a hospitalist and medical director of Vituity. He has led quality initiatives focused on improving protocols, strengthening the lab-EHR interface and enhancing hospital throughput during his tenure with the health system, according to a June 1 news release.
Dr. Scuorzo previously served as hospitalist medical director. In his new role, Dr. Scuorzo will work with clinicians, clinical staff and administrative leaders to advance technology initiatives and support patient care.
