Indiana hospital CEO abruptly resigns after 10+ years

The CEO of Franklin, Ind.-based Johnson Memorial Health resigned abruptly Feb. 27 after serving in the role for more than a decade, the Daily Journal reports.

Johnson Memorial Health Board of Trustees Chair Sandi Huddleston confirmed CEO Larry Heydon’s resignation to the Daily Journal Feb. 28.

“He resigned last night, effective immediately. End of story,” Ms. Huddleston said. “We thank Larry for his years of service and wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Hospital officials notified staff of Mr. Heydon’s resignation Feb. 28.

David Dunkle, MD, was named interim CEO while officials conduct a search for a permanent replacement.
