Independence Health Group names Gregory Deavens CFO: 4 takeaways

Philadelphia-based Independence Health Group hired Gregory E. Deavens to serve as CFO, effective Jan. 30, 2017.

1. Mr. Deavens previously served as senior vice president and corporate controller for Springfield, Mass.-based MassMutual Financial Group.

2. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and CFO for MassMutual’s U.S. Insurance Group.
