Illinois hospital CEO to retire

Ken Reid, CEO of Carlinville (Ill.) Area Hospital, will retire Jan. 31.

Mr. Reid has served as CEO for 14 years. 

Under his leadership, rural health clinics in Carlinville and Girard, Ill. grew,  as did recruitment of physicians and advanced practice nurses. Mr. Reid also played a key role in the expansion and development of the Carlinville campus, the hospital said.

Seasoned hospital CEO Michael Layfield will serve as interim CEO of Carlinville Area Hospital during the search for Mr. Reid’s permanent replacement.
