Dr. Mulder assumed his current role in 2009. He has worked at the health system since 1995, and has since served in several leadership roles, including as CMO and director of clinical services. He has participated on numerous committees and task forces for the Minnesota Hospital Association, and he won the organization’s 2018 Spirit of Advocacy award.

During his tenure, Dr. Mulder oversaw the 2013 merger of Hutchinson Area Health Care and Hutchinson Medical Center, which formed Hutchinson Health. Additionally, he spearheaded the formal affiliation between Hutchinson Health and HealthPartners, a nonprofit healthcare provider and payer, in April.

The Hutchinson Health board of directors and HealthPartners have begun the search for Dr. Mulder’s replacement.
