Pasadena, Calif.-based Huntington Health named Mariko Kita, MD, senior vice president and chief medical officer.
Dr. Kita will provide strategic and clinical leadership at the system, and oversee clinical quality, patient safety, physician engagement, operational excellence and patient experience initiatives, according to a July 21 system news release. She steps into her role Sept. 29.
Currently, she serves as chief of the department of medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
