Mr. Barber previously served as CFO of Houston Methodist Willowbrook. Prior to joining the hospital in 2012, he served as COO of Tomball (Texas) Regional Hospital.
“It gives me great pleasure to promote someone from within who has the leadership and operational capabilities for this position,” Marc Boom, MD, president and CEO of Houston Methodist, said in a statement. “I know that Keith will lead Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital to continue its upward trajectory.”
A survey from the Houston Business Journal’s List of Largest Hospitals shows that Houston Methodist Willowbrook plans to hire 300 new employees, increasing its current staff by 20 percent. These new hires will work in various areas of the hospital, including emergency services, operating rooms and women’s services, according to the report.
