Hospital for Special Surgery names new CIO

New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery’s associate CIO, Elizabeth Pearlman, will become the organization’s new CIO on Sept. 10.

Ms. Pearlman will succeed Jamie Nelson, the organization’s current CIO, who will take on an advisory role until she retires in April, according to an Aug. 13 news release from the hospital. In this role, Ms. Pearlman will be responsible for the hospital’s software development and applications, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT operations.

Ms. Nelson has served in the CIO position for Hospital for Special Surgery since 2015.
