Ms. Cassai comes to the hospital from NewYork-Presbyterian, also based in New York City, according to a June 13 news release. She served the health system for 16 years, most recently as senior vice president of perioperative services.

Hers is the second C-level appointment from Hospital for Special Surgery recently. In February, the hospital named Surgeon-in-Chief and Medical Director Bryan Kelly, MD, its next president; he is transitioning into the CEO role over the course of the year as Louis Shapiro retires.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
