1. Most recently, Ms. Desai served as system-wide director of emergency and critical care services, respiratory, neurodiagnostics at Gardner, Mass.-based Heywood Healthcare.

2. She has prior leadership experience at a number of healthcare organizations, including Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center, both in Hartford.

3. She earned an MBA degree from the University of Hartford (Conn.).
