Henry Ford Health System appoints Paul Browne senior VP, CIO

Paul Browne will join the Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System as its new senior vice president and CIO, effective Feb. 5.

Mr. Browne specializes in leading transformational change in complex organizations, as well as developing business and clinical intelligence capabilities. He is currently the CIO and senior vice president of applied informatics at Tenet Healthcare in Dallas. He also served as CIO and senior vice president for strategic program development at Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health. He also has experience in the insurance sector, having worked with SelectCare and Accenture.

“It has long been a passion of mine to harness the best advances in clinical information technology to drive better and more efficient patient care and customer services,” Mr. Browne said. “I am proud to bring that passion to a wonderful organization like Henry Ford.”

Mr. Browne holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in health services administration, both earned from the University of Michigan.
