Henry Ford Health System appoints 2 new leaders: 4 takeaways

Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System selected Mary Jane Vogt to serve as senior vice president and chief development officer and David Shepherd as president and CEO of community care services.

Four takeaways:

1. Ms. Vogt previously served as interim chief development officer.

2. Ms. Vogt has worked at Henry Ford since 1997, serving in several leadership roles, including vice president of major gifts and regional philanthropy.

3. Mr. Shepard was interim CEO of community care services, before which he led Henry Ford's dialysis division.

4. Mr. Shepard will now permanently lead Henry Ford's community care services, which includes its home healthcare, hospice care, pharmacy and retail services.
