Helen Keller Hospital appoints Kyle Buchanan president: 5 notes

Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Ala., selected Kyle Buchanan to serve as president, effective in June, according to WAAY 31, an ABC-affiliated TV station.

1. Mr. Buchanan is vice president of Huntsville (Ala.) Hospital for Women & Children.

2. In 2009, he joined Huntsville Hospital Health System as vice president of operations at its affiliate Helen Keller Hospital.

3. He has prior experience as CEO of Lawrence Medical Center in Moulton, Ala.

4. He holds a master’s degree in health services administration from Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

5. Mr. Buchanan succeeds Paul Storey, who is leaving to serve as COO at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala.
